Balo (or “바로" in the Korean language) means “now”, “honest”, and “upright”.

The word incorporates everything we want our platform to provide.

HOW IT STARTED

Our founders, Michael and Yomi met through the Antler Startup Program in January 2024. Antler is a global early-stage venture capital firm enabling and investing in determined individuals to build global businesses from the ground up.

Be it luck or Antler’s brilliant co-founder matching ability, Michael and Yomi came into the program with the same business idea and problem space they wanted to explore further.

Michael had already been working on the business idea for 6 months before Antler but there was a missing piece to the puzzle. The stars aligned when Michael (a domain expert in Salesforce Professional Services and commercial founder) and Yomi (a technical founder) met through Antler with the determination to solve and find solutions in the category of Enterprise Software Professional Services.

Michael Joo | Balo

Michael Joo | CEO comes from 13+ years of experience in the Salesforce Ecosystem with a career progression from developer, architect, strategic consultant, sales director, to CEO. With experience from both Client and Agency side, he brings a wealth of knowledge when it comes to understanding what truly drives success for companies who use Enterprise Software such as Salesforce. Having been involved in over 200 implementations of Salesforce in his career, Michael will be applying all of his learnings into building the future of Professional Services in Enterprise Software and in the new category we call Expert Driven Help Desk (EDHD)

Yomi Joseph | Balo

Yomi Joseph | CTO is a very experienced product builder with over 10 years experience building various digital products across multiple platforms. He has been involved in building digital products for numerous iconic Australian brands across FMCG, retail, travel, enterprise, fintech, and edutech. Products that are used by millions of people daily.

Yomi will utilise his extensive experience crafting delightful digital solutions/experiences for both customers and enterprise to bring this new category to life.
